MFC Sports Performance (MFCSP) located in Darien, Illinois is affiliated with Midwest Fit Club (MFC), based in Naperville, Illinois. The MFC and MFCSP fitness and administrative staffs help create a great workout environment to help clients to stay motivated, have fun, and get results!
The primary goal of MFCSP is to help young area athletes become A Force To Be Reckoned With by improving their performance in the following areas:
In order for MFCSP to accomplish their primary goal, the Co-Founders have hired a young and energetic training staff, have science-based training protocols in place, installed a new sprint track in the facility, and incorporated new fitness equipment into the gym to make MFCSP the premier destination for sports performance training.
Meet the Owners
The new business has three Co-Founders: Shane Herman and Steve Arch from MFC, along with Adam Kamuda. Adam is no stranger to MFC, as he has been vital to the early success of the southern Naperville Gym.
For Adam Kamuda, sports were a part of his life from a very young age. He immediately gravitated towards baseball and played at Indiana State University while earning his Bachelor’s Degree. His knowledge for business and sports grew and he continued his education and earned a Master’s Degree in Sport Management from Northern Illinois University.
Adam is driven by helping people reach and exceed their sports and fitness goals and has dedicated his life to making this a reality. When the opportunity to be a Co-Founder of MFCSP presented itself, Adam could not hold back his enthusiasm to jump head first into this opportunity. While his main duties are to oversee the daily administrative functions, Adam goes above and beyond that, he proactively wants to create a fitness community and provide the best training for athletes.
Shane Herman is a Certified Personal Trainer and graduated from World Instructor Training Schools, but his vast fitness knowledge doesn’t stop there, his hold certifications in Exercise Development and Youth Fitness. His also has extensive knowledge and experience in training for football, wrestling, competitive bodybuilding, distance running, power lifting, yoga, and bike riding. Shane has also been an integral part of Complete Conditioning, a company for small gyms and independent personal trainers. Shane’s passion for fitness is contiguous and he welcomes the opportunity to work with a variety of individuals with varying fitness levels
Steve Arch has been involved in the sports and fitness industry one way or another for over 10 years. He knowledge and experience in club sales, marketing and management has been vital to the success of MFC and MFCSP. After graduating from Marquette University (WI) with a Bachelor of Business Administration he worked for several minor league sports teams, including the Kane County Cougars, Chicago Wolves, and Chicago Slaughter. Steve is passionate about fitness and one of his favorite hobbies includes participating in stair climbs. He will boast about how he has climbed up the Sears Tower, Hancock Building, and the Aon Building in Chicago.
Based on the suggestion of one of MFC’s members, Bobby Wilson, the owners of MFC entered into talks with the ownership group of The Perfect Swing, an indoor baseball and softball training facility, to create a sports performance business in the same building as The Perfect Swing.
Bobby, who works at The Perfect Swing, suggested to his boss that the MFC owners would be good candidates to start a sports performance training business adjacent to their baseball/softball facility, located in Darien, Illinois. With the addition of an in-house sports performance training facility, The Perfect Swing is now a one-stop-shop for all area baseball and softball athletes to become superior players. After a few months of rehabbing the available space, MFCSP opened its doors in October 2013, and hasn’t looked back since.
